NEWS

12-05-08: By popular demand, and since I've been meaning to do it for a while, I now have a podcast set up for my hour-long radioshow which airs bi-weekly! This will give all those of you a chance to listen to my shows at a time convenient to you!!! Subscribe to the Podcast by clicking HERE. The first show that's up is the one from November 11, 2009, but I plan to, within the next month, add all 36 back episodes of the show so far for your listening pleasure! New and current episodes will be available every second and fourth Wednesday of the month.

08-21-08: Whow, half a year and no update on this site! In the meantime, I have a Facebook Fanpage and my Myspace has gone through the roof. Just goes to show, that those 2 sites have almost completely replaced official websites.

Anyways, lots has happened. I have started djaying again after a 2-year break, which I'm really pleased about. Vancouver, you guys ruled! Thanks for giving me such a warm welcome.

Meanwhile, on the release front, a lot of tracks have been released, including the "Bissen EP 2", "Take Your Time", and "Collective Unconscious." Coming up, is still The Shock's "Aftershock" on Silverplanet (that one got pushed back so many times at this point), my remix of Solarstone's "Last Defeat", my remix of Albert Vorne's "Express" on Club Elite, and the radio-friendly, rock-oriented, absolutely not-dance or trance, remix of Senadee's "My Fault."

Of course, then there's "Let Me Breathe", of which the licensing issues have yet to be resolved, which is a shame. However, I have been assured repeatedly that one of these days we'll finally be set with the negotiations. I have gotten an astonishing number of messages and e-mails asking when this track is going to be released, and this is all I know. Please sit tight and be patient.

I am pleased to announce that Armin just approved my follow-up to "Quicksand" called "Washout", so start requesting it on ASOT ;-)

Other things to come in the fall: A massive, killer-hook track with Chris Hampshire (head honcho of the Recoverworld label group) which I did with him back in the spring over a weekend here in New York. A follow-up to "Fly Away" with Victoria Jane, most likely called "Give it Away." And a few other very exciting projects and tracks that are in the pipelines, that are still to be contractually confirmed.

Lastly, as every year, if you like my tracks and have enjoyed my DJ sets and radioshow, please make sure you make your vote count in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll.

Thanks for all the continued support.

02-29-08: Long time no update! Always check my MySpace for the most up-to-date information. Meanwhile, this is what's in store for the first half of 2008 so far: A Volume 2 of the "Bissen" EP featuring the tracks "Night Terror," "Alternate Reality" and "Sandstone." The collaboration with Thomas Datt and TIff Lacey will finally see the light of day in May. We're getting together a fantastic remix package, so stay tuned! Last bit of worthy news is my remix of Matt Cerf & Jaren's "Let Me Breathe" which is getting amazing feedback right now. More info on that track soon. As always, thanks for all the support!

11-16-07: The hype and feedback surrounding "Quicksand" is absolutely stunning. A new remix (other than the JOC remix) has just been finished and will be funneled to the major DJs over the next few weeks, just in time for the release on December 3.

11-15-07: "Melting" has now been picked up for the North American market by US label Toucan Cove. The release will be packed with brand-new remixes by Josh Harris, as well as the already existing 6 mixes. The mixes are being pushed to US national dance radio, so tune into your radio stations and start requesting the song!

09-04-07: The summer days are over. I've been busy in the studio, writing another track with Tiff Lacey, entitled "Don't Walk Away" and a track with Madelin Zero called "Alone with You." Label and release info on these soon. Also, I will be attending Popkomm this year in Berlin, so if you want to set up a meeting, please e-mail info@metatechnik.com. Also, stay tuned for the "Quicksand" follow-up, which has just been finished. Finally, please mark your calendars for next Monday, which will see the release of "Exhale."

07-11-07: Finished a remix for Fernie's "Utopia" coming out on Mainframe/Bonzai in September. It turned out to be a bangin' tech tune--something a little different and unexpected this time. Also, finally, finally wrapping up work on the vocal track that I started with Thomas Datt a long while back. The right vocal has finally been found (and yes, it is quite a famous singer) and we will probably finish the track up this weekend. The tune is called "Take your time."

07-05-07: The signing frenzy continues, this time on the more progressive side of things. Texas-based RealMusic has snapped up 2 of my more progressive leaning tracks ("Glaze" and "Collective Unconscious") for release later this year. These tracks will be bundled with an awesome remix package, so sit tight.

06-29-07: To feed the "Exhale" hype, Sean Tyas has finished an awesome remix for this floorfiller and should propel this record even further--promos starting now!

06-14-07: Currently working on three remixes, including one for the extremely techy "Utopia" by Fernie on Bonzai. Also, my remix for Aurosonic ("Solar Breath") is finished. Look for the release soon on Fenology.

04-26-07: Paul van Dyk has added the Alex Morph b2b Woody van Eyden Remix of "Melting" into his rotation, playing it on both the VONYC sessions on Radio Fritz, and on the Einslive Rocker last Saturday.

03-15-07: "The Shock" (i.e. Ben Camp and myself) have finalized a deal with Silver Planet for the follow-up single to "Manhattan." This single will feature the tracks "Electroshock" and "Aftershock", as well as the digital-only release of the awesome "Caution Automatic Doors." More info on this release soon!

02-21-07: Sean Tyas will be on remix duty for "Exhale."

02-16-07: This week, I hit the trifecta in contract finalization. "Black" and "Impact" are going to appear as the "Spectrum EP" via one of the Recoverworld labels. "Melting", which was homeless for a while after the Deepdive collapse, has found a happy new home on Drizzly. There are going to be 6 mixes of that song! Finally, "Exhale" has been signed to Armada. Thanks to Armin van Buuren for all his support on this.

02-01-07: To kick off the new year in style, my new track "Exhale" is TUNE OF THE WEEK on Armin van Buuren's ASOT radio show (episode 286).

01-16-07: Happy New Year. 2007 looking to be a fantastic year. Much to come. So far there will be no less than 10 original releases of mine in '07, and it's only January. There will be "The Shock" follow-ups (finally!), follow-ups to "Sand", remixes by well-known artists, collaborations with star singers, etc. Keep your eyes and ears open, as more contracts are finalized...

12-01-06: Finishing up a collaboration on vocal trance track with fellow New Yorker Thomas Datt. More info on this soon.

11-21-06: Another well-known remixer has remixed Melting, this time Josh Harris, who is, of course, known for his work with Pink and that outstanding remix of The Killers' "Somebody Told Me." This exclusive Melting remix will only be available on Josh's remix compilation album "Distortion on the Dancefloor", out February 13, 2007 on Toucan Cove/Universal.

10-25-06: Back from three weeks in Europe and the ADE. Many exciting things are in the pipelines, including a second release of "The Shock." More info to follow soon.

09-25-06: "Cyphon", the Nicholas Bennison and my remix are out now via Flux Delux. Already garnering massive support my remix will be reviewed in IDJ next month. The remix went straight into the top 5 (#4) on Audiojelly's sales charts.

08-17-06: The song "I Think I Love You," written with and performed by Victoria Gross, has been licensed to Trance Party 6 on Robbins Entertainment, hitting stores everywhere on August 29, 2006. The song appears under the project name "BALM."

03-05-06: Moguai played "Manhattan" on Einslive Radio, Germany.

01-25-06: "Manhattan" is out now. Please go support the record. Ben and I are currently brewing up some more hits in the studio. 2006 looking to be a good year. The "Like I Do" follow-up "Melting" is coming--remix courtesy of Alex Morph.

10-11-05: In true genre-bending style, "Manhattan," a collaboration between Ben Camp and myself will see the light of day in January '06 on the German minimal techno label Boxer, distributed by Kompakt. We will appear under the monicker "The Shock."
