Collective Unconscious EP

After the massive support of 977 Miles, RealDeep Recording's returns with a different styled progressive release from one of trance lands big stars, Bissen. Collective Unconscious is a long dark and progressive road. The KNG mix bring it up a notch and into a different world. The Anguilla Project Remix was added to give the trancier fans a nice mix to play and delivers nicely. The release is rounded out with another dark progressive gem with an amazing melody, Glaze.

Aurosonic-Solar Breath (Bissen Remix)

Bissen's been the man with consistent killer melodies over the years and this remix proves no different. Chunky percs start off the show, slowly building as time goes on. A rather odd, plucky bass sample gradually filters down as a stuttery synth FX sounds off and on. A piano riff sounds off occasionally throughout the intro. An upbeat bass pattern is introduced shortly, along with a wicked acid-like synth. The intro takes a while to get going but when it does it becomes really good. A sweeping arp sequence adds as a nice touch, as does a lower octave piano riff. The track eventually dives into a breakdown. A gorgeous piano riff appears after a snare roll clears out all previous elements in the track. Gorgeous pads soon takeover as well. A plucky piano-like lead emerges, soon joined by gorgeous saw leads. He displays his mastery of FX several times throughout this remix, a few times through snare rolls and again during the buildup. The chorus is pure euphoria, perhaps a bit of a step up from the original. Saws and plucks everywhere come together to create a rather captivating atmosphere; in my opinion this is rather beautiful. The track drops out and the lead aspects slowly fade away. A sweep brings back the percussion and the bass. From here on definitely one to check out if you've been enjoying his work as of late!

Bissen EP

Cheeky, euphoric trance: German Georg Bissen lives in New York, where his company MetaTechnik produces campaigns for mega-bucks clients. Not content with this success, Georg now aims to conquer dance music as a producer, and this three-track EP is a good start. "Impact" and "Reveal" are reasonable tech-trancers but "Black" is a well-constructed, pumping, cheeky little track, bouncing with euphoria and energy. 5/5
--Josie Harral, Mixmag, December, 2007.

Quicksand

This is another strong release from Bissen. Pumping, banging trance with plenty to keep you hooked. For those who like that tech sound the remix may well be something to slide into your sets as it's a good remix. A strong release, this, with different mixes in terms of their style.
--Dave Hart, iVibes, December, 2007.

Exhale

This is a pretty good release with a good melody and banging beat on both the mixes. I think most will dig out the Tyas mix on here as overall it does have the edge on the release. It will certainly suit those looking to up the pace with their mixes and introduce that banging melody into it. This is a release worth looking at.
--Dave Hart, iVibes, November, 2007.

Cyphon

[Cyphon] is a no-nonsense electro-trancer with progressive leanings. Both the Original and the Bissen Mix blend styles with great ease, but US based Georg Bissen has offered us the harder mix, which is the one I've been playing out to good effect with its bass-heavy sound driving those subs to the limit. 4/5
--Danny Slade, iDJ, November, 2006.

String Theory

String Theory is melodically laid back, atmospheric and slightly nostalgic. Indeed, bass design and "gated" melody give it a tinge of a feel of trance that came out circa the year 2000. Specifically, the tune is somewhat reminiscent of Lucien Foort's Vivid Skies. More modern sounds and production techniques enlisted to build this track ensure that it draws on the style of that era of trance without making it feel dated. This is not an anthem by anyone's definition - this tune is conceived from the deeper side of uplifting trance. String Theory starts off moody, then develops into a well grounded foundation in the lower frequencies, and a busy, spacey melody and percussion up in the higher spectrum, which gives way to a single airy breakdown in the middle of the tune.

Manhattan

LCD Soundsystem meets the raving sound with rock-guarantee & stagedive fun. Including a 4/4 vs. shuffle Einmusik remix.
--Play 4 Me, January 30, 2006.

A surprising record from the Boxer Sport camp - "Manhattan" by the Shock could as easily sit in our punk-funk / 80's section here in the shop as in the minimal techno section. Stripped down beats combined with dirty rolling bassline and layers of synths and guitars! Can it be possible?? The Einmusik mix - as would be expected - is a bit more to what we're used to seeing from Boxer Sport though...
--Phonica, January 24, 2006.

The Shock teams up Ben Camp & Georg Bissen, an American and German ex-pat known mostly for progressive house, for a guitar-heavy helping of electro-house that seems tailor-made for Ewan Pearson to play out during peak time. If you've heard Pearson's Sci-Fi Hi-Fi mix cd, you have an idea what I'm talking about. If not, just note that I have a setting in my brain that triggers the word "Ewan Pearson" when I hear anthemic electro-house with big snares on 2 and 4... A great Einmusik remix on the b-side frames some guitar moans around a rhythm that easily moves back and forth from four-on-the-floor to schaffel.
Michael F. Gill, Stylus Magazine, January 2006

Techno meets Rock 'n' Roll. 'Georg Bissen' and 'Ben Camp' spend some headbangin' moments with their new production 'Manhattan'. An energetic tech track with rockin' guitars and a delicious rework by 'Einmusik' on the flip.
Voices, Germany, January 23, 2006

Like I Do

Top tier emotive vocal trance. On the A side we have a corker of a remix from Irish trance ace John O'Callaghan, pushing into harder territory with a clever bassline and gorgeous arrangement, with good use of the vocals. On the flip the original mix dips a toe in proggy waters before heading off towards mid-evening dancefloor euphoria. Quality stuff - keep it up Deepdive!
--Vinyl Warning, Australia, August 11, 2005.

Highly acclaimed in the world of the top DJs... Tune of the week at Dance-Tunes.com... "One of the better tunes in a long time!"(Ferry Corsten), "This track is totally amazing!!!" (Mike Shiver) and "Been playing it lately! Quality track!" (Niklas Harding). These are some of the judgements from some top DJs about the highly acclaimed trancer: "D-Light & Bissen feat. Victoria Gross - Like i Do". Just released on Deepdive Records (a division of eXcellent Records Ltd.) this stunning record, enriched with the beautiful voice of Victoria Gross, is about to conquer the world of Trance! Big names like Ferry Corsten, Blank & Jones, Above and Beyond, Signum and Svenson, are some of the many who already have added this record to their playlist!
--dance-tunes.com, August 11, 2005.

The original ["Like I Do"] is a bit reminiscent of "As the Rush Comes;" wonderful progressive number with beautiful vocals. On the flip-side John O'Callaghan shows that it doesn't always have to be euphoric and happy, similar to his release on "Discover Dark." Still, the remix has massive drive and creates good party vibe.
